Sara Hall Form Drills

I found this on Ryan and Sara Hall's website. I used to do similar drills after practice in high school, but since starting college I haven't done many drill-type things. I'm going to start doing these again after some of my runs.

My form is one of my biggest concerns. I don't think I have bad form - I actually think my form is pretty good - but I'm always trying to improve it. Better form leads to more "efficient" running, or doing more with less energy. It's similar to the difference between running "hard" and running "fast" that was described in Weldon Johnson's article

We used to do form drills all the time in high school (probably twice a week) and I think they helped my form at least a little bit. But in college we don't do them at all. Actually, our coach makes fun of anyone that does drills, but that's just him being himself.

We do a lot of strides. I get really lazy about strides in the summer though. Do you do those at all?

In high school my coach had us do drills and strides after every practice, but at Lasell we only do them on workout days and days before meets.

I actually like both strides and drills, but I really don't know how much I'll do them in the summer. I'll probably do more drills, if anything.
